How to Use a Pendulum
With your elbow placed on a steady surface, hold the chain between your thumb and index finger. Take a calming breath, and ask the pendulum to show you what a "yes" movement is. It may swing back and forth or go in a circle. Then, still the pendulum. Ask to the crystal to show you a "no" movement. Still the pendulum again. Ask the crystal to show you a "maybe/not known/not free to know" movement. Ask simple questions you know the answer to, as a way to test that you are receiving correct answers. Used frequently on simple daily questions, you will strengthen your trust and feeling for the pendulum.
Instead of using the word "should" in your question, begin with "Is it beneficial....," "Is it a good idea to...," or "Is it in my best interest to...."
Instead of asking "Should I move to Hawaii and become a surfing instructor?," ask several simpler questions to avoid confusion, such as, "Is it a good time to move?," "Would I enjoy the climate of Hawaii?," or "Would I enjoy teaching as a career?"
If you are not sure about an answer, ask the reverse, such as, "Is it preferable that I stay where I am for the time being?"
